The sunflower genome was just announced in Nature ! After 12+ years of work by a huge group of people, its great to see this finally released.

Cloe joins the lab! We are excited to have a wonderful new addition to the Kane lab. Cloe is graduate student who has recently transferred over to our lab from MCDB. We are looking forward to working having someone in the lab so adept at wet lab work.

Thanks to some great advice and assistance from Black Dog LED, we are well on our way to setting up the first legal Cannabis grow room on campus at CU. Low THC only for now, but there are dozens of other interesting and important cannabinoids, and we can do some very important work to understand and improve industrial hemp.
